<abstract>En este artículo se propone la inclusión, tanto en la formación básica como en el entrenamiento habitual de bomberos y otros colectivos de rescate, de una verdadera preparación psicológica, que se divide en dos grandes áreas: en primer lugar, técnicas de adaptación al estrés, con la finalidad de que el rescatador adquiera unas buenas estrategias de afrontamiento; en segundo, pero no menos importante, los primeros auxilios psicológicos a las víctimas, pues no se debe olvidar que que se trabajo principalmente para su protección y bienestar</abstract>
