<abstract>L'Année des chocs sur le marché français, le chiffre d'affaires des sociétés d'assurances hors inflation recule de 3,9%, tandis qu'il progresse de 11% hors de l'Hexagone. Mais, en dépit de la tourmente boursière et de sinistres exceptionnels en 2001, le secteur tient bon: l'assurance vie résiste dans la tempête; le marché de l'assurance dommages progresse de 6% grâce à la hausse de tarifs. Le résultat technique reste toutefois dans le rouge, même s'il s'améliore légèrement</abstract>
