Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) would have an effect upon the psychology of driving, making the driver feel a control loss., and reducing the level of trust in the vehicle. But workload might be reduced and driving might be less stressful: locus of control and trust were unaffected after this study, that simulated effects of situation awareness using a driving simulator under manual and ACC conditions
