Multinational companies with asset-management partnership in China have been riding a surge in its stock markets: returns of more than 100 per cents, in some cases, have added to the country's allure as a fast-growing asset-management market. We estimate that the market will grow by more than 60 per cent annually for the next three years, but high churn rates and fierce competition will force asset managers hawk their talents to investors more aggressively. Multinational assers managers can stand out from the pack by actively educating and cultivating investors and by developing wide distribution networks
