<abstract>Pese a que la conyuntura demográfica y macroeconómica presente es muy favorable para el sistema de pensiones, los problemas estructurales que determinan su insostenibilidad financiera a largo plazo permanecen invariantes. En algunos países, también afectados por problemas parecidos, se han comenzado a tomar medidas que amortigüen el problema. Sin embargo, en España las políticas adoptadas han adolecido de una falta notable de ambición reformadora. Una de las razones que pueden explicar este retraso es la falta de información de la población sobre el funcionamiento del sistema de pensiones y de la problemática que presenta su financiación</abstract>
