Presentation of the Ranking of territories for the senior economy 2024

Population ageing is an increasingly evident reality. According to INE estimates, the population aged 65 or over will rise from 9.3 million in 2020 to 14.6 million in 2050, representing 30.8% of Spain's total population.

The third edition of the Ranking of territories for the senior economy 2024 analyzes the reality of the senior economy across Spanish territories and its evolution over different periods.

The report aims to be a lever for economic and social development, and to promote senior-friendly approaches in Spain's autonomous communities and main cities, which manage a large share of public policies.

This initiative provides a comparative and practical view to support decision-making in public and territorial policy in response to demographic ageing. The presentation event took place on March 6 at 10:00.
