<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La creación de la unión bancaria ha propiciado que los bancos europeos mejoren de manera importante sus principales ratios de performance, especialmente la reducción de los préstamos improductivos (NPL). En este proceso las entidades bancarias han mejorado de forma ostensible su valoración bursátil, pero también de manera heterogénea entre Estados Unidos y Europa y sin llegar a los niveles precrisis. En el ejercicio de comprobar qué factores inciden de una manera más importante en la valoración que hace el mercado, la ratio de rentabilidad sobre recursos propios (ROE) es la más significativa. Y su significatividad aumenta cuando la regresión se realiza sobre el ROE prospectivo evidenciando que el mercado descuenta beneficios futuros, ya que el ROE en proyección es mayor que el que las entidades presentan en la actualidad</abstract>
