Título: Designing for an aging workforce / by Joel M. Haight, Umang BelwalAutor: Haight, Joel M.
Notas: The average age of the U.S. worker is increasing as the baby boomer generation approaches retirement. As humans age, they experience physical and cognitive capacity losses; intuitively, that may be a concern from a productivity, error rate and injury rate perspective. Bureau of Labor Statistics data seem to show that this may not be an entirely valid concern. Another concern is that older workers put themselves at risk by developing their own accommodations to keep up with younger workers. This article considers possible design solutions to help account for the loss of physical and cognitive capacities among older workersRegistros relacionados: En: Professional safety : journal of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
