<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El presente artículo se refiere a los elementos distintivos del consejero dominical conforme a las recomendaciones realizadas por El Código Unificado de Buen Gobierno Corporativo de las Sociedades Cotizadas (CUGC) aprobado por la CNMV en 2006 y a las escasas referencias normativas existentes, en el contexto del mercado español e internacional de control corporativo. Los consejeros dominicales pueden desarrollar una función clave, en determinadas sociedades cotizadas, en beneficio del Buen Gobierno y del interés de los accionistas. El fenómeno ilustra de paso que el poder político esencial de la sociedad anónima radica en el Consejo de Administración mucho más que en la Junta General</abstract>
