Los armadores, cargadores y fletadores que utilizan un buque para el transporte marítimo se enfrentan a riesgos, comunes a todos ellos, que pueden ocurrir con cierta probabilidad. La Avería Gruesa refleja ese espíritu por compartir la adversidad con el compromiso de hacer frente al resultado anteponiendo el bien general al particular de cada una de las partes. La cobertura de la Avería Gruesa puede encontrarse tanto en las pólizas de Casco y Máquinas, como en las pólizas de Mercancías.</abstract>
