<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La evaluación del alcance y magnitud de un accidente químico, así como la selección de las actuaciones que proceda desarrollar en cada caso, sólo son factibles si se dispone de forma fiable y simultánea de todos aquellos datos que permitan la interpretación del accidente en toda su magnitud. Un sistema informático para el diagnóstico de la situación medioambiental -como el que IBERSAIC integra y adapta para cada instalación-, puede contribuir a evitar potenciales responsabilidades futuras, tanto en operación normal de la planta, como en caso de accidente</abstract>
