<abstract>Major listed companies in Britain will have to take corporate social responsibility more seriously under the impending regulations on Operating and Financial Reviews. Regulations introduced by the UK government Departement of Trade and Industry in April require listed companies to provide adequate information to shareholders to allow them to assess the key risks a company faces. For regulated sectors, non-compliance could lead to the loss of an operating licence and in some cases, imprisonment for directors</abstract>
