520  ‎$a‎The re-cast Insurance Mediation Directive (IMD-2) is nearing completion in the EU legislative process after a very lively debate across the involved institutions. On 5 November, the EU Council of Ministers issued a press release confirming its agreement on the direction of a sixth compromise text, paving the way for detailed discussions over the coming weeks -- The European Insurance & Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) published its third consumer trends report on 2 December. This is further to its statutory objective to provide these annual reports highlighting trends in the insurance sector across the EU
