<abstract displayLabel="Summary">It has been recognised that for a given cumulative exposure to asbestos dust, only a fraction of the exposed workers developed one or more of the asbestos related diseases (benign pleural disease, asbestosis, mesothelioma, and lung cancer). In this study it was investigated class I and class II human leucocyte antigen (HLA) in patients with different types of asbestos related disease and compared prevalences of HLAs between different groups using the data obtained in this and previously published studies</abstract>
