Notas: Sumario: The work was undertaken to establish the accuracy and precision obtainable whwn PVC filters loaded with known amounts of quartz are thermally ashed and analysed by infrared spectrophotometry. The results were compared with those obtained by colorimetric analysis with wet ashing of the filters.
