Notas: Sumario: Recent epidemiological studies have suggested an increased cancer incidence in iron foundries and apparently confirmed an increase in a steel foundry. It is obvious that there is a need to assess polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon levels in the foundry environment. The purpose of this study was to reveal potential risk factors present in iron and steel foundries. Ten Ontario foundries were selected based on a number of relevant factors such as the type of metal, sand binders and cores used. They included six ferrous (three steel and three iron), two non-ferrous, and two foundries with both types of metalsRegistros relacionados: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 1, 1982 ; p. 17-25Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrial Contaminantes químicos Hidrocarburo aromático policíclico Riesgo laboral Enfermedades profesionales Cáncer Acero Hierro Fundición Canadá Otros autores: Verma, Dave K.
