Sumario: If employers are to meet the requirements of The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations in workshops existing custom and practice will need to undergo major changes. The use of modern materials on motor vehicles, and the hazards faced by employees working with them, are such that continual vigilance will be needed to protect their health, safety and well-being. The COSHH regulations are designed to ensure that this protection is provided: a programme which will give the employees of the Automobile Association (AA) working in AA maintenance garages is described
