<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Para estimular un comportamiento seguro, muchas compañías, como parte de sus programas de seguridad, emplean métodos para modificar el comportamiento. Entre estos métodos se incluyen programas para recompensar a quienes lo merecen por su desempeño seguro y por evitar accidentes. Si se usan correctamente, las técnicas de modificación del comportamiento pueden crear cambios positivos. Si no se emplean correctamente, estos métodos pueden provocar el fracaso de un buen programa de prevención de accidentes y resultados desastrosos. El personal descubrirá cualquier falta de compromiso o contradicción de los propósitos</abstract>
