Notas: Sumario: The author of the LPC Laboratories outlines the test programme which is being carried out on six leading halon alternatives at the LPC's purpose-built rig in Borehamwood. The Montreal Protocol has effectively resulted in the cessation of the production of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) almost on a worldwide basis. There are, however, still a few countries such as China and India where as developing countries production is still permitted.
