<abstract>En este artículo se introducen algunas notas sobre estadísticas existentes del sistema de planes de pensiones y se realizan determinadas precisiones metodológicas, contrastando de forma agregada la información financiera con la fiscal referente a los partícipes y sus aportaciones a planes de pensiones, tanto individuales como de empleo. Aunque el período de referencia del análisis es 1997, el estudio realizado es interesante en cuanto ofrece nuevos datos sobre el comportamiento y las pautas seguidas por los ahorradores</abstract>
