<abstract>The article briefly presents three examples of probalistic risk analyses that have been performed in the past by the Stanford Engineering Risk Research Group to reflect the sensitivity of risk results o various factors. It concludes with the necessity  and the nature of consistency in risk analysis methods and results to be able to rank risks, set priorities, and generally support policy making  for the different kinds of criteria</abstract>
