<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El 25 de abril de 1998 se rompieron 50 metros del muro de contención de la balsa de estériles de la mina de Aznalcóllar (Sevilla), propiedad de la empresa sueca Boliden AB. Causó el que es considerado como mayor daño ecológico de todos los tiempos en España. Esta empresa ya había tenido otros antecedentes de rotura de balsas en Chile y en Suecia. </abstract>
