<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La economía mundial creció en 2017 a una apreciable tasa del 3,6%. La expansión económica tuvo un carácter más equilibrado que en años anteriores, beneficiando a un abanico más amplio de países y regiones. Los precios aun moderados de las materias primas, junto a unas políticas monetarias acomodaticias en las economías más avanzadas, permitieron sostener unas tasas de crecimiento que brindan una excelente oportunidad para afrontar con mayor holgura los retos de la economía mundial. En el lado negativo de la balanza, se produjo un retroceso en los acuerdos de cooperación comercial y económica, que podría dar paso a movimientos proteccionistas con consecuencias negativas para la producción y el empleo en ejercicios futuros</abstract>
