<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En 2017 las empresas españolas han desarrollado su actividad en un entorno económico mundial marcado por un crecimiento sincronizado y al alza, no exento de incertidumbres y riesgos a nivel global y nacional. En este escenario, el tejido empresarial español ha contribuido significativamente a la consolidación de un nuevo patrón de crecimiento caracterizado por una mayor aportación del sector exterior al PIB. Sin embargo, desde 2008 se ha reducido el tamaño medio de las empresas españolas, lo que condiciona a futuro la adaptación de España a un mundo en plena transformación y lograr nuevos avances en la competitividad e internacionalización. Por tanto, es importante adoptar medidas que apuesten por el crecimiento del tejido empresarial para generar empleo de calidad, aumentar nuestra productividad y capacidad de innovación, impulsar y fortalecer el sector exterior, y dotar a la economía española de mayor estabilidad ante los cambios de ciclo económico</abstract>
