<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En España, las variables demográficas indican como seremos una población cada vez más longeva por partida doble: aumento de la esperanza de vida y disminución de la natalidad. En este trabajo, se presenta una propuesta al problema de la longevidad en España en la que se divide en dos etapas el periodo de la jubilación: tercera y cuarta edad, que serían financiadas con instrumentos distintos: sistema de cuentas nocionales complementado con un plan de previsión empresarial obligatorio (pilar II) y sistema individual de ahorro voluntario (pilar III) para la tercera edad y un sistema de reparto tal y como lo conocemos hoy, para la última etapa de la vida</abstract>
