<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Estos últimos años se ha puesto un gran énfasis en aumentar la regulación de las empresas cotizadas para mejorar la calidad de la información que suministran periódicamente. Sin embargo, pese a que una regulación sin una supervisión efectiva es estéril, hay pocos estudios sobre cómo mejorar la supervisión de las empresas cotizadas. Como muestra nuestra investigación, hacer públicas las revisiones de cuentas anuales del supervisor del mercado de valores es una forma eficaz y sin apenas coste de mejorar la calidad de la información financiera.</abstract>
