Systems communicate with the vehicle about road and traffic conditions, vehicles nearby, and other critical elements of the driving experience. AV technology combines multiple sensors, computers, and software to produce self-driving cars. These cars are already statistically safer by miles driven than that of their human-driven counterparts.
