<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La desigualdad constituye uno de los problemas de nuestro tiempo. Distintos observadores la señalan como una de las causas de la creciente desconfianza social en las instituciones y del auge del populismo. Este artículo examina en qué medida la agenda ESG o de la sostenibilidad empresarial está poniendo el foco en la desigualdad, dado que en cierta medida esta puede ser entendida como una externalidad negativa generada. La atención a la desigualdad de la agenda ESG está limitada a cuestiones muy específicas relativas a la retribución. Concluimos con algunas propuestas orientadas a que las compañías examinen su contribución neta a este problema.</abstract>
