An increasing customer-led demand, coupled with the proposed legislations and incentives across the globe to reduce carbon emissions by endorsing EV ownership, has brought the EV market to the fore. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, electric cars accounted for a small percentage of vehicle sales, but this has been growing. A positive outlook for the market brings new opportunities, as well as new challenges for manufacturing of EVs, the most important of which is centred around production of batteries.</dc:description>
