<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Communication service providers have much to gain from cloudification. Moving network functions from hardware provided by network equipment vendors to software comes with a host of benefits such as faster time-to-market and agility for services, enhanced network flexibility, and reduced operational and capital expenses. The advent of 5G has only increased the interest in virtualization in the telco realm. In this respect, CSPs have many aspects of cloudification that need to be put into perspective and help drive decision-making for how to best approach moving network functions to the cloud</abstract>
