<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Given Spain's economic outperformance in the first quarter of 2023, risks to our full year growth forecast are on the upside. While we expect a quarterly growth contraction in H223, this is contingent upon the view that the ECB's material tightening will considerably weigh on domestic demand. Some of the effects of tighter financial conditions could, however, be offset by the continued strengthening in the Spanish labour market at 13.3%, the country's unemployment rate is considerably lower than pandemic heights of 16.3%</abstract>
