MAP20240003807Climate change : what does the future hold for health and life insurance? / Adrita Bhattacharya-Craven... [et al.]. — Geneva : The Geneva Association, 202452 p.Sumario: The report offers recommendations for insurers: to urgently close data gaps on climate-related health risks; to innovate, in particular with parametric products; and to prioritise prevention, such as through impact underwriting, which incentivises behaviours that reduce risks. With these measures, insurers can make a significant contribution to protecting public health in the face of climate change. It classifies climate-related risks into four categories in relation to mortality and morbidity - acute, chronic, transitional and litigious - and provides an overview of the latest scientific evidence. lt goes on to provide a comprehensive snapshot of how these risks manifest. Acute risks stem from the impacts of extreme heat, wildfires, floods and severe storms on mortality and morbidity1. Mercado de seguros. 2. Riesgo sanitario. 3. Medidas de seguridad. 4.
