The Brazilian supervisor Susep reported BRL 435bn ($78bn) of insurance revenues in 2024, approximately half of which from the property and casualty second, and the other half from pensions and savings.
One specific area Brazil wants to talk to Europe about is open insurance  the development of a framework that allows customers to securely share their insurance data with third parties. The goal of these models is to promote greater transparency, competition and innovation in the insurance sector, similar to what open banking has done for financial services</abstract>
