El primero describe la distribución territorial de los recursos energéticos entre las diferentes repúblicas, destacando la posición cardinal que ocupa la Federación Rusa. El segundo apartado analiza los balances energéticos de las repúblicas y examina la magnitud y las características de los intercambios de energía entre las repúblicas que formaban la Unión Soviética. Por último, se extraen diversas conclusiones sobre la situación energética tras la desaparición del país-imperio</abstract>
