<abstract displayLabel="Summary">L'article enferme un étude sur les dispositifs antiretour et pare-flamme pour chalumeau oxy-gaz manuel d'une marque française largement diffusée. Cette étude a montré que les spécimens essayés selon les modes opératoiree et spécifications normatives en vigueur à l'epoque n'etaient pas toujours susceptibles de remplir systématiqueament, même à l'état neuf, leurs fonctions essentielles, notamment en ce qui concerne la prévention des retours lents de gaz. En outre, la dispersion de la perte de charge dans le sens normal de circulation des gaz s'est avérée excessive (elle a varié du simple au double et du simple au septuple pour les modèles destinés respectivement à l'acétylène et à l'oxygène)</abstract>
