Sumario: The Committee on Hygiene Standards of the British Occupational Hygiene Society, after receiving the report on "Hygiene Standards for the Cotton Dust" (BOHS, 1972), invited its Vegetable Textile Dusts sub-committee to extend its considerations to flax dust. In making recommendations regarding the prevention of byssinosis, the sub-committee interpreted its task to include consideration of the value of medical examinations done in association with dust control
