<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Air sampling of organic vapours on silica gel 1400 mg tubes is a widely used technique in France in cases where activated charcoal tubes prove unsatisfactory, especially for polar chemicals. This paper reports esperiments testing the limits of use of this equipment. Trapping capacity is defferent for each compound, depending on pollutant concentration, and generally falls with increasing relative humidity. Some results of the laboratory tests on 45 compounds are reported in this paper</abstract>
