<abstract displayLabel="Summary">In this paper it report the results of a longitudinal study carried out over a 4-yr period which was designed to validate, under field conditions, blood, breath and urine monitoring for toluene exposure. The results from the biological samples are compared with environmental toluene concentrations and guidelines are offered on a possible biological monitoring strategy</abstract>
