<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En este artículo se revisan varios modelos de teoría de juegos sobre el comportamiento de los votantes y la evidencia de los experimentos diseñados para contrastar esos modelos. A través del análisis de datos originales y de otros ya existentes, se plantean preguntas empíricas sobre el comportamiento en la votación, las propiedades de las reglas de votación, los resultados de las elecciones, la prevalencia de las "paradojas" de la elección y la Ley de Duverger </abstract>
