Sumario: In order to determine whether degrees of skin contact with organic solvents could be meaningfully categorized and whether skin contact may represent a significant route of occupational solvent exposure, this study examined skin and inhalation exposures to organic solvents among auto body repair workers. Postshift urine levels of hippuric and methyl hippuric acids (toluene and xylene metabolites, respectively) were compared in relation to the two routes of exposure
