<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The aim of this study was therefore to provide a comprehensive set of intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) data for dynamic lifting activities performed with the trunk either erect or flexed. Three degrees of trunk flexion were investigated and the IAP recorded was related to the force exerted at the hands and to the moment about the L4/L5 disc. This investigation was a part of a research programme dealing with the assessment of biomechanical stress factors at the workplace</abstract>
