<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Algunas aplicaciones recientes de la tecnología de barrido computerizado han venido a confirmar su utilidad como medida de seguridad. La codificación por barras con exploración lasérica, tecnología puesta a prueba y en uso desde hace muchos años en los supermecados, se utiliza ahora también como elemento disuasor contra los terroristas en los aeropuertos, mientras que por su parte los bancos someten a pruebas técnicas tales como exploración de huellas digitales, rostro e incluso retina para aumentar las medidas de seguridad</abstract>
