<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En este documento se resume un estudio Sigma de Suiza de Reaseguros sobre el reaseguro de catástrofes en los mercados de Australia, Japón, Bélgica, Alemania, Francia, Gran Bretaña, Países Bajos, Sudáfrica, Canadá, EEUU y México. Como se indica, en 1995, se adquirió en estos mercados cobertura de reaseguro no proporcional contra riesgos de la naturaleza por valor de 46.800 millones de dólares; un 8,1% más que el año anterior. Las cuotas más elevadas corresponden a EEUU (36%), Japón (15%) y Gran Bretaña (12%)</abstract>
