<abstract>Evolución positiva la del Sistema Mapfre en 1999: 803.162 millones de pesetas de ingresos consolidados (un 6,2 por 100 más), 587.108 millones en primas (un 8,8 por 100 más) y un beneficio antes de impuestos de 34.095 millones (aumentando un 14,9 por 100). Pero mejores aún son las expectativas para el presente ejercicio, en el que prevé casi duplicar sus ingresos llegando a 1,5 billones, de los que 400.000 millones procederán de la distribución de seguros a través de Caja Madrid -- Incluye cuadro con los siguientes datos del ejercicio 1998-1999: primas de seguro directo, fondos administrados, ingresos totales consolidados, activos consolidados, recursos propios y beneficio consolidado (A.I.M.)</abstract>
