<abstract>Los flallos de diseño o fabricación de los automóviles o de sus componentes es uno de los factores a considerar cuando se investigan los accidentes de tráfico y, con vistas a la eficiencia económica, brindan a perjudicados y aseguradores un campo más abierto para la compensación de los daños y la recuperación de los costes incurridos. En el presente artículo, el autor explica un caso de un accidente de tráfico y sus consecuencias por causa del mal funcionamiento del airbag, a través de la explicación de su sentencia en la que se estimó que el airbag falló cuando que no se activó a pesar de concurrir todas las circunstancias para ello</abstract>
