<abstract>Es una realidad intangible que hoy en día existe una percepción y concienciación respecto a la existencia de una Ley que regula la protección de datos de carácter personal. Dicha ley es bien conocida la Ley 15-99 de 13 de diciembre, Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal. Que no todas las empresas mercantiles están cumpliendo la normativa vigente en España tampoco puede ignorarse y ello en razón del número total de ficheros de carácter personal declarados o inscritos ante la Agencia Nacional de Protección de Datos</abstract>
