<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The report highlights that, in 2024, the insurance sector operated in a global environment of inflationary moderation and financial relaxation, although conditioned by geopolitical uncertainty and heterogeneous monetary policies. Internationally, Life (protection and savings) and Non-Life insurance showed resilience, supported by the good performance of the financial markets, which boosted the demand for investment products. In Spain, the favorable macroeconomic context boosted the growth of the Non-Life segment, with special emphasis on Motor and Health, while the Multi-risk line also recorded positive results. Life insurance, particularly that linked to savings, experienced a significant contraction in premiums, affecting structural indicators such as penetration, density and the Insurance Protection Gap. Despite this, the sector maintained solid profitability and a strengthened solvency position</abstract>
