<abstract>Los sistemas de gobierno corporativo están reestructurando gradualmente la gerencia de riesgos; así lo revela una encuesta informal entre los miembros de FERMA. La imagen varía de un país y otro, pero muchos profesionales del riesgo están asumiendo más responsabilidades en la empresa, especialmente cuando sus empresas han implementado  una Gerencia de Riesgos Empresarial (ERM, Enterprise Risk Management). El sistema europeo de gobierno corporativo puede ser reglamentario o consistir en simples códigos de buena práctica. Las compañías con presencia en Estados Unidos están también afectadas por la Ley Sarbanes-Oxley</abstract>
