Section: ArticlesTitle: The Impact of osteoarthritis and geriatric depression scale on mini-mental state examination trajectories over seven years / Chiara Ceolin...[et al.]Notes: Sumario: A longitudinal study examining the relationship between osteoarthritis, depressive symptoms, and the evolution of cognitive performance in older adults over a seven-year follow-up period. Using data from the Progetto Veneto Anziani study, cognitive trajectories were identified through the Mini-Mental State Examination. The results show that osteoarthritis is significantly associated with a higher risk of moderate cognitive decline. Depression acts as a partial mediator of this relationship, explaining approximately 30% of the total effect. The study highlights the importance of addressing mental health in the clinical management of osteoarthritis in the ageing populationRelated records: En: European Journal of Ageing : social, behavioural and health perspectives. - Cham, Switzerland [etc.] : Springer International Publishing AG, 2021-. - 21/12/2026 Volumen 22 Número 2 - 2026 , 11 p.Materia / lugar / evento: ArtrosisDeterioro cognitivoEnvejecimientoComorbilidadDolor crónicoInflamaciónOtros autores: Ceolin, Chiara Other categories: 931.1Rights: In Copyright (InC)
