520  ‎$a‎This research article analyses the independent association of loneliness and social isolation with physical and mental health-related quality of life in community-dwelling older adults. Using longitudinal data from the Seniors-ENRICA-2 cohort in Spain, the study evaluates differences by sex over a two-year follow-up period. Loneliness was measured using the UCLA scale and health-related quality of life using the SF-12 questionnaire. Results show that loneliness is significantly associated with poorer physical and mental health-related quality of life, particularly among women. Social isolation, however, was not independently associated with health-related quality of life outcomes
